Testimonials
Amazing. Patient. The BEST. Those are just a few words to describe Jason Brodt.
I’ve had the distinct pleasure of witnessing Jason through the various phases of his K-9 career. I’ve watched the dynamic, controlled, award-winning K-9 handler grow into a top-notch working dog K-9 instructor. I was present during a training session where a handler was having difficulties and became frustrated. Jason calmly stepped in to help. Within three minutes of Jason’s assistance, you could see that “light bulb” moment in the K-9; he got it! Jason knew how to assess the situation, understand the mannerisms, and turn this into a win for both the handler and the K-9! There are so many stories like this through Jason’s career. All who know him and have worked with him have the utmost respect for Jason.
Now, my dog and I have the pleasure of being Jason’s students. Within the first lesson, he noticed and made small tweaks that have made big differences. He continues to challenge us, be patient with our progress, and applaud us along the way. Jason is truly a blessing, and we are so grateful!!!

I have known Jason for approximately 20 years.
In 2015, I participated in assisting the St. Paul PD K-9 Unit in updating their training philosophy. Jason was the “Head Trainer” for the K-9 Unit, and I observed as he trained novice K-9 teams from multiple surrounding agencies over a three-month period. During this time, I saw that Jason exhibited thorough knowledge, experience, and attention to detail in his training methods, which allowed the students to improve their skills effectively.
Significant achievements were recorded both in everyday work and within the K-9 association (USPCA—United States Police Canine Association), where we certified as K-9 handlers and served as judges at regional and national levels. Jason's prior experiences with outdated training methods led him to seek improved communication techniques with canine partners.
Based on these observations, I recommend Jason as a personal trainer for those seeking a well-trained family canine partner.

I have known Jason for over 25 years. He taught me a better awareness of operant conditioning as a fundamental concept in dog training. Using this technique helped me achieve a AKC Master Hunter, HRC Finished titles with my yellow lab.
